Instructions For Use:
For the perfect CBD Hemp Tea, steep one heaped teaspoon (Approximately 1 Gram) of loose herbal CBD hemp tea in a 200ml mug of hot water for 5-7 minutes. Remove, stir and relax! Sweeteners such as sugar, honey or stevia can be added if needed.
I can confirm that this CBD hemp tea is also absolutely safe for combustion and vaporisation, it is 100% organic hemp flower with no additives or other nasties.
Now, first off lets talk about the unique packaging that this flower arrives in. I love that my flowers don’t arrive to me squashed and ruined by pesky mylar bags! The resealable tin this CBD hemp tea arrives in is sturdy with a surprisingly tight seal on the lid requiring it to be pried open, ideal for safety around young children and pets. The labelling on the tin is some of the most informative i have come across. it gives you information about suggested use, batch numbers & expiry dates and also nutritional information, CBD percentage and the origin of the contents.
As for the CBD hemp tea itself (Shown Above & Below) there’s quite a few interesting colours going through these flowers. You get the dominant brown tint from the abundance of pistils, vibrant greens from loose sugar leaves and then a lovely subtle sparkly light green of the main bud. It is quite simply stunning, especially for a greenhouse grown flower. The trim job is almost perfect, the flowers are bouncy with the perfect stickiness to them, thanks to the trichomes being more undamaged than flowers that arrive in mylar bags.
Moving on the the scent of this wonderful CBD hemp tea now. It is very sweet and very piney, its a unique smell I must say, prominently I’m a sweet, piney, sour citrus scent when smelling from the tin. However, when you break open a flower you get a strangely caramel-like scent coupled with a distinctive Kush hint.
In my opinion, the main terpenes I’m getting from this flower are:
- Pinene – Anti-inflammatory, Bronchodilator (helps open airways), Anti-anxiety, Pain relief, May help combat short-term memory impairment associated with THC
- Limonene – Elevated mood, Stress relief, Antifungal properties, Antibacterial properties, May help relieve heartburn and gastric reflux, Improves absorption of other terpenes and chemicals by way of the skin, mucous membranes, and digestive tract.
- Caryophyllene – antioxidant, anti-inflammatory properties, possible therapy for treating inflammatory bowel disease. May be able to treat anxiety and depression.
- Myrcene – antioxidant and antimicrobial, anti-anxiety and pain-relieving properties, sedative and muscle relaxant, reduces inflammation
CBD Hemp Tea:
To test out the recommended use for this flower, I made myself a herbal CBD hemp tea, following the instructions. Firstly, the scent while it was steeping was amazing, sweet, piney and gassy aromatic scents! Once prepared, i began gently sipping the tea, sitting back in my chair reading a book. About halfway down the tea, i noticed myself sinking into the chair, i quickly found myself almost unable to focus on the book i was reading, instead opting to put the book down and play a video game instead.
I felt very mellow, happy and mentally relaxed. I suffer rather badly with a panic disorder, ADHD and depression so my minds usually racing all the time especially after work. One tea and for the first times in what feels like forever i can have a evening free from unnecessary thoughts and feelings.
My experience making CBD hemp tea with this harlequin flower have been eye opening. Until now i had never really made teas from CBD hemp flower before, this has genuinely changed my opinion about that method of consumption.
Vaporisation & Combustion:
I loaded up a bowl in the Mighty vaporiser, setting her off at around 170-180 degrees. i do this so i can get a good taste of the terpenes and really delve deep into the flavour. Once at temperature, I began gently breathing in the vapour, to no surprise that sweet, sour pine that I got from the scent was coming through nicely, maintaining excellent flavour up to about the 5-6th hit at 170-180 degrees. This CBD hemp tea is a tasty one.
Moving on now to the combustion side of things, i rolled up a joint of this CBD hemp tea, (No Tobacco). I do this to give me a better understanding of how it burns and smokes. personally i think ‘Black Ash’ is a myth although there is a limit to how dark I will have my ash. lighting it up, i quickly noticed the ash which was a really light shade of grey, excellent ash in my opinion.
the stickiness of the flower was just perfect, throughout the whole joint I experienced no side burning, the joint never went out and i as left with a pretty awesome resin ring around the cherry. Taste wise, i was getting a nice Kush type terpene profile, heavy and aromatic.
The effects i get from this CBD hemp tea are perfect for my needs at the moment. I’m having a rather rough time recently with inflammation and pain in my back. This particular flower is quite high in CBN (12%) which is well known for its anti-inflammatory properties. After using, my whole body seems to relax,, sore muscles start to feel less and less tight and sore, headaches and neck pain start to fade also.
On top of that, i have found this flower to be extremely good for anxiety, the terpene profile is excellent for full mental and physical relaxation without too much of a sleepy feeling, excellent for feeling relieved while getting physical tasks done. As i stated before, mental tasks such as reading, i did have trouble with although i do consume rather a lot in one go.
Overall, my time with this CBD hemp tea has been a pleasurable one. I have a special place in my heart for this particular flower simply because of the good terpene profile and high CBN. HempHash were the first company i ever went too for CBD hemp flower, the quality has been spot on ever since, i don’t have a bad word to say about them or their services if I’m honest, they really are lovely people.
